The Centre for Human Rights of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw was established in 2003 as part of the Institute of Legal and Administrative Sciences of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. His calling is to conduct research and didactic classes in the field of human rights and their impact on the legal order, and to promote a culture of human rights.
The head of the Centre is prof. UW Marcin Wiącek, and the employees – dr Maciej Pisz, dr Adam Ploszka, dr Janusz Roszkiewicz and dr Michał Szwast. Moreover, prof. UW dr hab. Wojciech Brzozowski, dr hab. Adam Krzywoń. The stationary doctoral students at the Centre are Aleksandra Dzięgielewska, MA, Maciej Grześkowiak, and Bartłomiej Ślemp, MA.
